Tag 7

Here's a cool tag:
7 things I'd like to do before I die:
1. Scrapbook for an entire weekend at a retreat with my favorite people (that would be you)
2. See my kids following Jesus..for sure
3. Lose all the weight and become this solid rock
4. Get a breast reduction
5. Save enough to retire semi comfortably and then I type this and perhaps I'd like to be that old couple that's still leading hiking retreats down to the local "river" somewhere on the mission field
6. Own my own convertible and it'd have to be orange
7. Lead a bunch of people to Christ and hear about it..is that bad to type? I just want to know that I'm living something that people see.

7 Authors/Books (this is really hard..I'd have to ask for permission to add a few to the list)
1. Pretty much anything Spurgeon
2. Sandra Boynton (children's author)
3. Ginger Plowman's Don't Make Me Count To Three
4. Anthony Bourdain's stuff
4a. The Joy of Cooking
4b. Bon Appetite's new orange cookbook
5. Stepping Heavenward Elizabeth Prentiss
6. My dad's writings..he's done several and I really like the way he writes
7. My read through the bible in a year chronological bible that Julz gave me..I'm eating it up.
8. Elizabeth Elliott's stuff
9. INtimate Issues by Pintus..pretty good book. What I love about it is that it focuses on serving the husband and doesn't necessarily gloss over the fact that there are issues we all bring into a marriage..not just sin, but hurts, expectations etc. and it talks through them..doesn't just say.."you woman, he man, you serve, no feelings. Quiet." Humpfgh.

7 Things I can't do well:
1. The same thing day after day..that's why I feel like a survivor and a well accomplished lady, just keeping 2 kids alive for just shy of 5 years now!!
1a. dance-- and I don't want to be able to dance well. Do you think anyone that's more than a size 2 should be able to shake any part of their body, except their finger at their toddler? NO, let's repeat..that is NOT attractive. And that stupid little phrase that's on cute little magnets that says, "Dance Like No One Is Watching"..um, who just dances like no one is watching? Who? You? Do You dance like no one is watching? Yah, exactly my point. eh-hem..now that I got that off my chest.., I'll breath.
2. Take a shower and get ready every morning..some mornings I look like a star, other mornings I look like a half, haggled, starburst- ha!
3. Cook from the same cookbooks..change it up baby! Don't ask me to cook something I cooked 10 years ago, unless it's from Joy of Cooking, I just won't have the recipe.
4. Keep my house clean all the time (because I blog..eh-hem)
5. Look in a mirror without looking for blemishes
6. Forgive myself..eh-hem pride anyone?
7. Give grace

7 Movies: I'm not recommending these, I'm just saying that I loved them..and I don't often see past the initial plot, so if there are lesbian themes or something hidden like that, I'm totally oblivious to things like that..
1. I hesitantly put this on the list...Sense and Sensibility and Emma....
2. Gilligan's Island reruns
3. Sat night CLEAN (which doesn't leave a lot) reruns of Will Ferril (sp?) the scene when he and Molly Shannon are singing at the middle school dance and he is playing the piano and she is playing the accordian? oh my gosh..I could get a hernia!
3a. Swiss Family Robinson
3b. BIG
4. Italian Job
5. Most Bond Flicks the new one was great, according to us, that new bond guy was um, a nice looking hunk of burnin love..oh, no...that's not what I just said, is it? scratch that..that's terrible
6. Anthony Bourdain travels/food stuff
7. Oh man..this is only 7? I'm so not good at naming my favorites..um..Search for Bobby Fisher? Ocean's 11, October Sky, Catch Me If You Can, Terminal, Master In Commander, Legend of 1900
7a. Seinfeld reruns

7 Things I like about: Alan
1. His body
2. His body
3. His body
4. His body
5. His body
6. His heart
7. His hair

You're the one reading MY blog...you thought I'd answer that question prudently? Discreetly? Hmm.. I'm so spicey. I tag you..if you don't want to answer the last question about a man, then answer it about who you most admire..like character traits you want to have.. o.k. must go rest and clean a bit.
